Look, I don't use KDE (nor oS) but in those days where I did use both,
one had to select "Activities" or some such, somewhere in the options,
before you could have a different wallpaper on each different desktop.
You probably did this but have forgotten that you did which is why you
are able to have a different wallpaper for each "Activity" - "activity"
equalling each desktop you created.
