kde4 icons, plasma themes and screensavers

have upgraded a user from kde3 to kubuntu 9.10 Beta and met some 
problems. These relate to that I had to copy back all old files AFTER 
install since for whatever on earth reason 9.10 does not accept 
usernames that start with a capital letter...

in short the icons, some parts of plasma I guess (icons for the taskbar 
etc) and screensavers are either missing totally or in part.

Anyone have an idea what I can reinstall to get them back in order?
