I'm running now 2.6.31-02063101-generic, and it runs better. The two
outputs that I saw as a clue were :

CPUFREQ: Per core ondemand sysfs interface is deprecated - up_threshold

Also : hpet increasing min_delta_ns

I read over some bug lists and bug trackers that the problem is with
different hardware, and somehow common with Dell hardware.

While there's no official solution, I found that by adding
hpet=disable to grub, it works better, and I'm not getting the advice
in dmesg nor the blinky awful screen.

To solve this, edit /etc/default/grub and modify the following line :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" to

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash hpet=disable"

The hpet=disable parameter apparently solves this issue. I read over
there, that some guys solved this that way, without blinks or hangs
for over two weeks.

Best.

Juan
