Aptitude wants to delete subversion - WTF?

This morning when I wanted to update the the system aptitude said that there 
was 1 update and that subversion would be removed. I have no idea why and I've 
actually just started using it a couple of days ago :-/
I fired up Synaptic and could easily just update the one package needed but 
when I run:

 sudo aptitude update

it says:

idA subversion        - Advanced version control system

where "d" means that it is to be removed.

What happened here?
