There are no plans to backport Amarok 2.2 to Jaunty, simply because
Karmic is in Beta now and to be released in less than a month. Since
there are quite a few dependencies to build, too, this would be a lot
of work for Jaunty.

You can get Amarok 2.2 through the Neon repositories, though, where
you can also get KDE from trunk:
