The version (0.9.4-0ubuntu1) in the repo on Kubunto 9.10 is for KDE 3
and should be removed. You can find and install the latest Kim that
supports KDE4 from Sam Rog's PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~samrog131/+archive/ppa
