KDE 4 Sevicemenus

I've been running Kubuntu 9.10 on my laptop since it first came out and I must
say KDE 4.3 is a big improvement over even 4.2.2 in Kubuntu 9.04. But I'm
still not ready to go to it on my "production" desktop system.

One of the things that keeps me running Kubuntu 8.04 and KDE 3.5.10 is the
stuff on the right-click menus in Dolphin:

--When I right-click on a Folder and select Actions I have an option to Open
as Root.

--When I right-click on a text file and select Actions I have an option to
Edit as Root.

--When I right-click on a jpeg file and select Actions I have a hierarchy of
options using Kim to manipulate the images. It took a little doing to get
this capability in Dolphin -- I had to copy three kim- desktop files from
konqueror to d3lphin.

I did find and install the konq-kim package for KDE4. It put five kim desktop
files in /usr/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus. (I also copied them
to /usr/share/apps/dolphin/servicemenus.) They still don't show up under
Actions in either Konqueror or Dolphin.

Any ideas?
