xorg.conf still works, I had to fix a rotten sis graphics motherboard
using it. Well had to, I guess I could figure out how to do hal fdi or
whatever but for me the xorg.conf worked well.
However - all sections relevant to Monitor, Device etc had to be there
so I doubt the above would be enough.
