Not really, it just emphasis that I am indeed an old fart in this group, or
in most for that matter, having turned 75 in early October. But hey, when
folks ask how I am, the std answer is that "I'm above ground and out of jail,
what more can I ask". :)
How did I get here? I was one of those nerds/geeks almost before that label
was known, I quit school after the 8th grade & started fixing tv's for a
living back in about '48, switched to broadcast engineering in '62, and
finished out my working life as the Chief Engineer at a tv station here in WV
from '84 till I retired in 2002. And my phone still ring$ occasionally.
