KDE does not work after upgrade + hang to 9.1

Hi Alan,
thanks for the tip. It didn't fix the problem, but it brought me to the
solution.
I typed 'apt-get install kde*4'.
After downloading of about 1.5GB of kde packages i was able to
log into kde again.
