I need to roll back xorg

I need to roll back to the previous version of Xorg. Is there a safe way
to use synaptic to downgrade all of the xorg packages?? I've not had to
do something like this before. Thanks, Ric

p/s from what I'm reading the newest version of xorg breaks some java
functions. So, to test this, I want to just roll back my xorg-X11 system
in order to confirm this.
