Mybe it is my hardware. I use an Acer Aspire 5930G.
After a fresh install I tried a 1Tera WD hard disk and a 16Gb memory
stick; dmesg says the devices are ok, but nothing shows up in the plasmoid.
Strangely "fdisk -l" shows the device (/dev/sdb) but doesn't see any
partition.
