Because it's not generally considered "wise" to kill-file a list
moderator. If you have to do that, un-subscribing is just about the only
recourse you have. My personal feeling is that Myriam insulted Marc,
according to his perceptions ...which he is allowed.

Here's something for everyone to dwell on:
"Power and Authority contains an attendant and equal amount of
Responsibility. Any difference between the two is the measure of the
dysfunction." So, if a cop pulls over someone in their car, he can
because he has the Power and Authority to do so. If he beats the crap
out of the driver with a nightstick, he is ...by definition,
dysfunctional. and needs very close scrutiny by professionals, as he
utterly failed the Responsibility test. Same goes for a moderator where
the Power and Authority vs Responsibility is to not wreck the
-enjoyment- of the list to encourage useful members to remain on call.
Abuse that, there will always be some users remaining, but some of us
will certainly leave.

Myriam, the point that I raised before apparently hasn't sunken in.
We're human beings first and foremost. We will socialize, we will always
socialize and while waiting along for a question to pop up that we may
be able to assist with, we may chat to "this" list, in order to know
something of the other people, who also are watching the list to see if
a question pops up that they may be able to assist with. It goes with
being merely human, as well as curious. Otherwise we'd be merely
computers that are triggered by an event that we are able to respond to,
who then shut down until -next-.

For me, it's an "intervention" (stop-switch) to leave. Sorry for the
noise to the list, you all are good eggs. :) Ric
