getting Fn and multimedia keys working in kde4

My Fn-F10 (eject) won't work on kde4. On kde3, I could use input
actions to configure the Fn-F10 to issue the eject command. When I try
it on kde4, I get a popup saying that Qt does not support that key.
Same with Fn-F2 (battery). Same with some of the multimedia keys on my
usb multimedia keyboard (sleep, stop, reload, Tools, Explorer).

I upgraded to 4.3beta with same results.

Any ideas how to get these working?
