Share not working

Say I want to share ~/Public. I right-click the folder in dolphin and 
select the Share tab. Then click Configure file sharing... It 
authenticates, then does nothing. Now, each time I click Configure file 
sharing... nothing happens.

The only message I can find is in auth.log

May 14 15:32:10 mote sudo:     marc : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/home/marc/
Documents ; USER=root ;COMMAND=/usr/bin/kcmshell4 fileshare

/usr/bin/kcmshell4 exists, 

Any ideas?
