Where is my xserver conf??!!

The problem is that I see my CPU overloaded, with no reason, so I guess it's
plasma using the CPU instead the GPU. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000IGP
and using the open radeon driver (it is loaded, and have direct rendering, so
hope I'm using it). How can I make plasma use the video hardware instead my
CPU?
I thought to configure the driver to test that but I don't want to missuse the
great auto-magical configuration of xserver. Is there any other way to ONLY
configure my video device (and not the entire xserver)?
