Dell XPS w/ intel i7 and [k]ubuntu

I finally gave up getting a reasonable search on Google and some other engines 
to determine a reasonable answer to the following question:

Are there any problems installing [k]ubuntu on a Dell XPS 435 with its Intel 
i7 series chip?  And other chip parts of the 435.

The chip set seems new enough that I thought I had better do a more thorough 
checkout of potential problems.

Thanks for any comments on personal experience or direction to pertinent 
material relating to this specific query.
