I did. Currently I got a suggestion to try:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
This also failed with the same error message Unknown Host. I just mention it
so that you can eliminate it from your possibilities. I have also confirmed my
Host entries with the ISP, so they are correct.
