Nope. Kubuntu-desktop (and ubuntu-desktop) is a so-called meta-packages 
that simply depends on all the packages that Kubuntu uses or needs for 
it's default set of packages. But those packages do not reversely 
"depend" on kubuntu-desktop so uninstalling it does not remove anything 
at all
