Single/Double click with Kubuntu

My question is:  what symptoms do you see, and where do you see them?

For example, you can configure KDE so that a single click on an icon starts
that application.  This is the default (I believe).  In the past, you may
have configured KDE to require a double click on an icon to start the
application.    If this is the case, your mouse is doing fine, you just
aren't expecting the results.
