Make sure you really have all plasma related stuff installed,
including the various widgets. There have been a few new packages
available in this update, maybe even some renaming too. Sorry I can't
tell you more, I am too busy at the Desktop Summit right now, but it
sounds as if some essential part is missing in your installation.
