Well it's chock full of errors from the nvidia driver. That's something. Now we just have to figure out what they mean.
(II) NVIDIA(0): Initialized GPU GART.
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Error recovery failed.
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
First thing I looked at is this:
"Virtual screen size determined to be 1920 x 1080"
Is this the correct resolution for your monitor? If not, try adding a preferred mode option under the "Monitor" section of xorg.conf, eg for 1024x768 it would be
Option "PreferredMode" "1024x768"
If that's not the problem then I'm afraid I'm stuck. The errors start happening after
(==) NVIDIA(0): Enabling 32-bit ARGB GLX visuals.
maybe this gives someone a clue?
