Strigi is completely buggy , fill my HDD to 100%

My personal opinion:

Biting my lip so I don't rant about the embarrassing state of desktop
search in Kubuntu...

Use synaptic (or your favourite package manager) and remove all the
packages that contain the word "strigi".

If that doesn't remove or at least empty the .strigi directory (it probably
won't), delete that entire hierarchy manually.

Don't even try to get it working. Even if if you succeed, it doesn't work
(if you see what I mean).

FWIW, in 8.04, you can sort-of get by with kerry.
