Possibly it doesn't complain because it's still a beta. Anyway, I'd suggest
you install the decoder. It used to be that installs would always behave
this way, so I recognised the symptoms :-)

Sorry but I can't recall the name of the package you need off the top of my
head. Probably someone here knows it, though.
