There should have been a "| grep -2 error" after the command which would 
have reduced the output. Anyway, there is no need to repeat the command. 
There is none of the error messages I had expected, so I think it is a 
different problem.

Well, the command should have been "lsmod | grep 8139". Maybe you could 
repeat that one (without the quotes).
