Perhaps a better example than that because that will not copy much :-).
If i have a directory that i will copy/backup i would use the
"--archive" flag. And if you going to copy you whole system (root "/")
you need the "--one-file-system" flag so you don't copy /sys and
/proc. But as Dotan suggested tar is a much better tool for that.
