It has been 2 weeks last Thursday that ASUS promised within 9 days to return a
working motherboard. I believe they will wait until I sue them, which I
cannot afford, before they even consider returning my motherboard in working
condition. I suspect that some lower level employees are just having fun
making me wait.
I assembled the computer on the 10th of November last year. I purchased the
motherboard before that. I believed the reason the computer would not work
was due to a problem in the motherboard, because the power supply was new and
the motherboard board-light worked and everything spun or lit up except the
heat sink fan. I tested four new sticks of memory one at a time. My attempt
to start the computer was with onboard sound and video, so there was nothing
there to blame except the motherboard. The processor was new from an sealed
and unopened AMD box.
I see why you smile Ric, and I don't really blame you, but for me every day
for the last 3 1/2 months has been a sort of agony. I think that those unkind
ASUS people realize this and are a little sadistic and get their entertainment
doing this to people they can do it to. ASUS promises 24 hour response to
emails, I believe, but they have not answered the last two at all. My plight
is all but hopeless and I don't know what to do.
