Were Intrepid updates the reason I lost my sound on the Intrepid partition?

I wouldn't know how to check for that information.  In any event, my method of 
posting is as follows:  I clicked help, as if I was looking for my version of 
a program, and found an option to report a bug.  I clicked on that option 
which took me to the bug page.  Although I didn't remember registering, I 
found that I was already registered.  Then, I simply followed the instructions 
and completed the wizard.  I hope it was entered.  It takes effort and care to  
make a bug report.  I hope mine wasn't lost.
