Intrepid: which Nvidia Driver?

Hi all,
I'm new to Kubuntu, coming from Debian, and trying to learn the kubuntu-way.

My question: with kubuntu intrepid, which is the correct nvidia driver 
to install and what is the correct tool to use?

In kde I used jokey-kde that lists only 2 driver: version 173 and 
version 177 that is "recommended" (this is the way I installed this driver)

If I look at the packages (I use synaptic) I see that there is also a 
180 version.

I see also that there is an envy-qt package to install nvidia drivers.

My framework:
    Acer Aspire 5930G
    Kubuntu 8.10 64 Bit
    graphic card: GeForce 9600M GT
