What CPU do you have and what CPU frequency is shown when your machine 
is slow?

What Computer specs does your machine have?

Is this a notebook?

Have you suffered from this problem since you bought the machine or did 
it occur later?

What did you do exactly before it happened for the first time?

What happens when you use a lightweight environment, ex. fluxbox, icewm 
or xfce?
