installed a little kde, it switched to it on the reboot, and most stuff is missing, no access to a shell of any kind

Gene, that is something I miss in (k)ubuntu, is the run-levels schemes
via /etc/inittab. Has it gone the way of the Dodo in Fedora, too? Ric
