I think it's a codec thing. Make sure you install:
kubuntu-restricted-extras

After that, I find mplayer works well, but VLC should also work.
Try install:
mozilla-mplayer

If you can't play it in the browser, get the URL to the video and try to 
download it with kget. Or paste it into VLC player (play a stream).
