indeed Derek, but if you ever went back to my old thread, i asked that
question because i was an apt-get user and not an aptitude one :)
or does this command work even when i have never used aptitude? the
real question here is aptitude relying on the main package database
used also by apt-get to get me the results of the above command? or is
aptitude keeping track of user-installed packages in a database of its
own which apt-get doesn't use/modify?
