Dual boot Vista and Kubuntu

If I were in this situation, I think I would make a change to the partitions, 
with Acronis.....    any change...   shrink a partition and expand it again.

That would get Acronis to rewrite the partition table with no real change.

And hopefully, that would put you on your way....   However, as you know, 
there could always be a major bomb with this.   So if you have True Image 
backups, have at it.
