Dual boot Vista and Kubuntu

Hi,

I want to add  Kubuntu to a computer with vista.

Some months ago I did it on another machine without problems
but now Kubuntu doesn't recognize the partitons and offers only  to
to use the entire disk.

What has happened? Is it a new restriction of Vista to be sure that it is  
the only OS?
