How about other codecs? I usually download to mpeg1 or mpeg2 which I
imaging any DVD player can play (DVDs are in mpeg2 format). You could
try those.
Does your player play files that are just put on a CD, or does it need
to be burnt as a DVD or V-CD format? From what you wrote it sounds
like you just burned a data CD with the mpeg4 file. Are you sure that
your player supports that?
Can you play the files from your desktop before (and after) burning the CD?
