Yes, it is a big improvement, and I enjoy using it. I was very worried by 
the whole kde 4.0 thing, though.

Indeed. There are some very weird approaches to some of the changes.

Yes, but they engage the community a little more. I know folk will say 
that you should go looking, but I think the reverse.
