    Interesting.  The last time I tried to get kmail w/gpg signing to work it 
simply would not use the pinentry.  This time I got it working manually.  
However, the very next reboot (this session) it worked as you described.  I 
wonder if this is something that was adjusted in the time since my last 
attempt?
