Yes, I am familiar with this problem. It is exactly the situation with a
friend of my wife's. She has a house in which it is inconvenient to get a run
of cat 5 from the router to the PC, so she and her children are managing
nicely with one of the Peak USB adaptors I mentioned earlier.
