CentOS is the only other distro I would run, if I had to. I didn't have
the same issues I had with Fedora regarding X11. Go figure. The only
problem with CentOS is the same problems Red Hat has, finding codecs and
all the snazzy goodies you want on your machine. Installing Sun's Java
is a royal pain in the tail in the rpm world. Being "offshore" Ubuntu
can provide links to third party apps darn near transparently which is a
HUGE plus to the newbie. Ric
