this has been discussed earlier. due to poor programming, ext4 cant be
used right now. something to do with applications written not to do
fsync() too often, and ext4 sometimes doesn't write changes to the
drive for over a minute and even more, this can cause a crash or
sudden accident to let u lose too much info. and KDE4 will crash few
minutes after it starts due to bugs happening for similar reasons. i'm
no expert, but this is what i understand so far, lol
