Kmail arrives in my trash. No filters installed.

I posted this before, however, it was suggested that I must have a filter that 
is sending my incoming emails immediately to the trash.  Well, they are going  
to trash immediately, but there are no filters engaged to order this process.  
The application is a virgin.  No changes or filters yet excepting configuring to 
receive and send emails using a pop server.  Any one with ideas or a cure? TIA
