Desktop Icons to show also on bottom tasbar in Kununtu

I usally keep a record of things I need to know but need help from anyone about-

 

I run Kubuntu 8.0.4 with kde 3.5 and On my desktop I have a folder that is a shortcut

to my letters folder, I want to place this on my bottom tasbar , but forget how to and

lost my paperwork on this, can someone help
