Hello Derek,

thank you for all the information.

I think the Monitor->Setting thing is not perfect and is not working for me. May be I'm doing something wrong, which I doubt.

That's why I'm writing here.

If you don't want to answer the question, then don't ;-) I still have the right to put it.
If you have time to read this mail may be it's not that hard to write the answer.

So it's not working in Windows OS too? I've not used windows since years. mainly command line and I think that's why I am asking about the visual stuff here. :-) nice to meet you!

Did I complain? I just want to do this setting and don't know how. And believe me. I've tried a lot before I started writing here.

But how? this is my quesiton :-D sorry but you make me lough. I know that I have to use the kde system settings. After this dual display _is_not_ working. I hope my english is good enough to explain it.

So may be tell me what and how I have to setup ot point me to a good manual, where I can read about. The things I found are not working. I wrote this here in the hope that kubuntu, as kde based and especially desktop oriented would be interested in this subject.

Sorry if I insulted you somehow. It was not ment this way and most of all I do not complain. I share my experience and hope to learn from all of it.

kind regards
