Laptop email sending problem

Steve,

You seem experienced enough with Linux that you shouldn't need to tell  
your ISP that you use Linux.

When support says open Outlook Express, open T-bird. When you are  
asked to go to Tools|options, go to Edit|Preferences and so on.
