Kubuntu and iPod Shuffle

I can only go by personal experience.  

If you have a friend with a Mac or WinPC, you can try plugging it in there, 
just to see.  If it is still not charging, it could be a battery problem.

I bought a Memorex charger (for travel) from a convenience store for about 
$15.  Because the Shuffles are USB-only, I had to also buy an iPod to USB 
converter, for probably less than $10.  Works well.
