switch to kubuntu first impressions

Sorry I can't be more help on your questions but I have one for you.
Why go with kubuntu when you want something light? I would at least
pick Xubuntu if not something really light like Damn small Linux.

I do run KDE on my very old laptop and it works OK as long as I don't
try and run 2 things at the same time. It works better with Xubuntu
though but then I miss KDE.
