after days of trying to get a working x, along with the vga working and
all when i first installed hardy, i got in the habit of saving my
xorg.conf on a remote PC. now i use this same file after each reinstall,
i just do some slight editing to it. for example, now in intrepid, i can
safely remove my input fields in the file. and had to remove 2 high
resolutions since i now use a new horrible monitor that can't support my
"out of range" resolutions. it's a lot simpler....
