kaffeine won't play DVDs (8.04)

This may work for you but is not the real answer and you will still
have other programs that break from the same problem. Go back and read
the archives about this problem.
You need to rename the file called
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules
to xxxx.bak and reboot. All will then work unless you really have some
other problem.
