nfs strange behavior

Hi,

I have a few nfs shares from a machine running an old linux version. From
one kubuntu machine I am able to mount them all. From the other the
mounting command returns an error of access denied while in the server the
operation looks pretty normal.

In the server log all lines are like this

Sep 17 17:45:10 machineX rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:817 for /home (/home)

Same permissions, 755, correct names and paths.

In machineX the shares are configured like

/home xxx.xxx.xxx.*(async,no_root_squash,rw)

and in the clients it is like

machineX:/home /home nfs nousers,atime,auto,rw,dev,exec,suid 1 1

None of the network adapters (internal network) has firewall restrictions.

TIA.

Alexandre
